There is nothing but cause for celebration as we welcome the return of award winning sports commentatorNeil Brooks to the media. But on his own terms. ‘The Sports Lab’ will be asking the tough questions of star athletes, coaches and the larger than life sporting personalities. They will be the hard questions, the honest questions. And there is nobody more qualified to put revered titans under the microscope than the man who has been on the frontline himself, Neil Brooks.

Brooksy came bursting off the blocks and in to our lives in 1980 when he won Gold for Australia in the 4 x 100 Medley Relay at the Moscow Olympics. Unheralded, unheard of, a 17 year old Perth boy way out of his depth. The legend of Brooksy was born that day and the cheering hasn’t stopped as his medal count continued unabated through Commonwealth Games, National Titles and 4 time All American to boot. An accomplished author, ironman, helicopter pilot and father, he is also a tireless campaigner and ambassador for his humanitarian cause – Bali Life Foundation, his energy, enthusiasm and compassion is limitless.

A man who has never shied away from fearless and rigorous debate around the complex arena of sporting life at the highest level. ‘The Sports Lab’ is precisely the high profile podcast we are needing in the dense, over commercialized and conflicted terrain of todays sporting celebrity.
Brooksy’s back. The sporting field is about to get colourful again!
